Human Body Project

This was the highlight of Unit 3 for us! At first glance, this looks like a lot of work, but my students were so engaged and into it that I only had to monitor.

First, we listed all of the body systems we learned about. We kept this list on the board for the students to reference and make sure they had included them all in their body.

Next, they traced a friend then got busy referring back to the text. It was so amazing to see their noses in their books the whole project! They used vocabulary to label, diagrams and photos to create the systems, and text evidence to write facts.

I can honestly say every single student was invested in this project! It was so fun to listen to them as they were working. If you feel short on time, you could do start this on a pausing point day and work on it as you learn about each system.
