Unit 1 Interactive Notebook

After 3 years of teaching CKLA, I know the curriculum well enough that it was time to add a little extra spice. I needed something to help with engagement that wasn't tech, so I created an interactive notebook! This is for CKLA Grade 3 Unit 1: Classic Tales.

There are 1-3 entries for each lesson that follow the teacher's guide. These activities enhance the curriculum, not to add anything else extra! Each activity was selected to hit on an essential learning concept, including:

• Main Events

• Compare and Contrast

• Making and confirming predictions

• Sequencing

• Vocabulary

• Theme

• Personification

CKLA takes a lot of time, so these were designed with simplicity in mind. These are already skills you are teaching in each of the lessons. You can use the interactive notebook in place of an already existing workbook page or oral discussion. I am excited for my kids to be able to look back at the end of the unit to see all that they have learned!
