Unit 1: Lessons 3 & 4 (2024-2025)

Speaking & Listening: I make the questions into Pear Deck text response slides. Pictured is the main screen, their screen, and my screen with their answers. Today, one of my boys said “This is so much fun!” 🤩

We used the Interactive Notebook to sequence the read aloud, write down examples of theme, and do a narration/dialogue sort. These little add-ons really don’t take a whole lot of extra time, and they’re all actively learning instead of listening to 2-3 kids answer.

Reading: The kids did I Read, You Read with a partner and worked together to complete the workbook page. We did this both lessons!

Phonics: We played open syllables Boom, Clap, Snatch. We also used wordwall.net to play partner games practicing words from the last 4 days.
