Lesson 12

Listening: I put the compare/contrast sentences on a drawing slide, so this kids could highlight them.

Lesson 13

Reading: I used this video for Jane Goodall.

Writing: We are doing the Animal Report Lapbook (found here - not made by me!) instead of the writing in the teacher's guide. Today, they chose an animal but first I had them look on Epic to make sure there were enough non-fiction books about that animal. They completed the front attachments, and began researching to fill in the flaps.

Lesson 14

I didn't change anything for this lesson other than continuing the Animal Report Lapbook for the writing. However, we did do a couple Pausing Point activities- instead of taking a whole day for it.

The did a "graffiti board" on Pear Deck with vocabulary words. This could be done on paper too. They chose 1 of the Venn Diagrams to fill out.

Lesson 15

We skipped the formal assessment and did a task activity instead. I was so impressed with how they handled this!! You can read more on this post.
